Fig. 7. Inhibitory effects of silibinin on colonization of Helicobacter pylori in mouse stomach as determined by the Campylobacter-Like Organism (CLO) test. Half of the stomach specimens were placed in 1 mL of broth and homogenized with an UltraTurrax homogenizer. Ten-fold dilutions were made and 100 µL aliquots of the dilutions were placed onto blood agar plates. Bacterial counts were expressed as colony-forming units per gram of tissue. Counting of selected colonies and all colonies on the plate. The color changing grade determined by the CLO kit.
